| he Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) is a special enactment for a practical regime of right to information to secure access to information under the public authorities. The Act provides for to constitution of Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions as the authorities under the Act, 11 Central and State level respectively. The infonnation can be available in any form, including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbook, contracts, report, papers, samples, models, data materials held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law. The records under the Act includes any document, manuscript and file, any microfilm, microfiche and facsimile copy of a document, any reproduction of image or images embodied in such microfilm and any other document or
material produced by a computer or any other device. |
